Students encouraged to get creative … and bring their moor to life!

We've launched a new competition to encourage school students to think creatively about the uniqueness of moorland habitats.  To enter, students aged 8 – 16 can write a story or poem or create a poster or comic strip exploring important moorland issues or simply reflecting the beauty of the unique upland landscape.

First prize

An inspiring, two-day drama workshop for the successful secondary and primary schools with theatre production company ‘The Babbling Vagabonds.’

Actors from the company will work with students to bring the winning entry to life and to make a film of the performance.

Runners-up will receive an achievement certificate and an invitation to the winners’ celebration event at the Moorland Discovery Centre,  Derbyshire, in July.

Closing date

17th May 2013
