At the foot of Kinder Scout and the Pennine Way, The Moorland Centre in Edale is the perfect space from which your group can experience the wonderful peatland landscape of the Peak District.
Only 35 minutes direct from Sheffield or Manchester by train, the Moorland Centre offers the perfect space for your awaydays. The Moorland Centre takes you out of your usual working environment and into the heart of the Peak District. A perfect for a digital detox.
By hiring the Moorland Centre you are supporting peatlands by helping us to create a peatland home from home, a hub for everyone to gather together to enjoy, learn, contribute and share knowledge about these precious landscapes and all the plants, invertebrates, birds, mammals and reptiles who live there.
You can hear about the importance of moorlands and the role they play in improving our lives in many ways, you can request a guided walk, or you can take part in a craft activity to create a memento of your visit to take away with you (or you can add it to the space!)
We can guide you to some of our excellent local cafes and pubs for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and if you want to stay locally you can even hire a glamping pod right on the doorstep and wake up in the heart of Edale.
