Moor Mapping

The Moor Mapping Project was commissioned by Natural England to provide an online map of all of upland restoration carried out in the Peak District National Park since 2003.

Project start date: January 2021
Project end date: April 2022

This is the second release of the Moor Mapping Restoration Works interactive map.  This map is based on data from Moors for the Future Partnership (MFFP) and from other partners and stakeholders, who have kindly contributed data for use in this project.  It is not an exhaustive record and so an absence of information might indicate that we do not currently hold the data rather than that no moorland restoration works have taken place in your area of interest.

Contribute

The map will be updated periodically.  If you have data that you would like to be included in a future release, we would be happy to discuss this further with you.  In the first instance, please contact eastmidlands@naturalengland.org.uk and we will provide further advice about how to share your data with us.
