Wildfires pose a significant risk to blanket bog habitats in the Peak District and South Pennine Moors. Large fires pose a threat to biodiversity, natural capital and ecosystem services.  Moors for the Future Partnership is gathering evidence by monitoring the number and severity of wildfire incidents. This report outlines the key information gathered for the whole of the South Pennine Moors Special Area of Conservation, covering as many years as possible.
