Moors for the Future's largest monitoring project; documenting the impact of MoorLIFE moorland restoration at sites across the Peak District and South Pennines.
Time scale: 2010 - 2015
- Annual vegetation monitoring campaigns (including Sphagnum mosses) measuring in changes in moorland vegetation communities in relation to land management activities.
- 3 month intensive sampling of water tables (dipwells) and water quality; looking at water colour (using a spectrophotometer) and its carbon content (Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC), Particulate Organic Carbon (POC) & Total Organic Carbon (TOC)) per year.
- Year round water table measurements (dipwells).
