What We Offer

We can provide extensive data sets

  • Flora, fauna, landscape features (maps), management / pressures (grazing levels, visitor density, fire frequency)

We can provide support in the form of

  • a GIS research suite, a specialist moorland reference library, some help with facilitation of site access, advice from our staff, potential CASE partners for research proposals, facilitation of (student) projects.

Our facilities are limited at the moment as our library database is not yet complete. However we welcome researchers by appointment to view various publications, books, reports and papers. Our research team is happy to offer advice. Applications for data

We also have space for small meetings / briefing sessions and facilities for individuals carrying out basic field experiments (sink, basic lab equipment).

Moors for the Future received a large number of grant applications in 2004, 2005 and 2006 for small project grants. We hope to be able to continue this support in the future - subject to funding being secured.
