Visiting the Centre

  • The Moorland Discovery Centre will seat up to 40 people. Therefore because of this and the number of toilets available we can only book one class per day
  • Occasionally there may be other groups using the grounds of the centre if your group is not booked to use them. This will only be done with prior discussion.
  • We work on a 1:30 student ratio (this may alter depending on the age of the students and the programme chosen)
  • All our leaders are first aid trained and police checked
  • We would appreciate any change in pupil numbers to be communicated prior to your visit
  • Behaviour and discipline are the responsibility of the teacher / group leader (please see risk assessment for your visit). You are still ‘loco parentis’ and will be asked to sign an indemnity form to that affect on your arrival.
  • We can offer INSET training days
