INSET Training Days

Developing your staff team skills in a stimulating and different environment training day

Using the stunning back drop of the Peak District National Park our training days can be tailored to meet the needs of your team.

Our ‘Make the most of your National Park’ training days are hands on practical days that can draw on
different aspects of the national park to create interesting and stimulating learning opportunities.
You could look at the geography of the Peak District from Rocks and Soils to Rivers and Recreation, Hidden Histories all the way from early man to the Victorians and the world wars, investigating how history shapes the land and how to find evidence of it to day. The natural environment is a wonderful way to enrich your curriculum through looking at different Art and Literacy techniques to help students be inspired.
You could focus on science investigations in our varied range of habitats or link different subject to look at making cross curricular links to get the most from a days visit.

For further information on INSET opportunities please contact the staff team at the Moorland Discovery Centre.

Training days delivered at the Moorland Discovery Centre could be a full day or a half day. Catering can be booked as part of your training day.
Training days are charged at a standard per head rate with a minimum booking number. For more bespoke day costs would have to be agreed.
