Take a trip through the Burbage Valley from pre-historic times until today with Macey, a 2nd Class Accredited Interpreter-Traveller with the Institute of Time Travellers. Using state-of-the-art time travelling equipment you will be able to see how life has changed in this valley over the past 3000 years

GPS Waypoints

The grid references are listed on the right . However, if you have a Global Positioning System (GPS) reciever, you can download the waypoints, and transfer them from your PC via Easy GPS (free software download).

The waypoints are in the generic GPX format. Simply right click the link and select 'save target as..' from the options and then open them in 'Easy GPS' where you can upload them onto your GPS.

Travel Information

The 172 bus service operated by Hulleys provides a service from Matlock and Bakewell.The nearest car park is illustrated on the map a few hundred metres south of the start point.

For further information on places to eat and stay please follow the link to www.visitpeakdistrict.com.

There is an easy access path for 800 metres from Burbage South car park and 400 metres from Upper Burbage Bridge car park that allows access for people with mobility impairments. Please visit our access improvement pages for more details.
