Meet the Team
The Community Science team L-R: Tom, Sarah and Joe
Sarah Proctor is the Community Science Project Manager. She has field research experience in Sumatra, Madagascar and the UK. Sarah is a Zoology graduate from Edinburgh University and a Master of Research in Ecology and Environmental Management from the University of York focussing on employing scientifically robust ecological research to inform conservation implementation.
Tom Aspinall is the Community Science Project Officer. He has gained field research experience in the moorlands of the Dark Peak whilst working for the Moors for the Future Partnership. Tom is a Zoology graduate from the University of Nottingham and a Master of Environmental Management (Wildlife & Landscape Conservation) from Sheffield Hallam University. He has a keen interest in wildlife photography.
Joe Margetts is the Community Science Communications and Engagement Officer. He has gained experience of practical moorland conservation work as well as nature interpretation whilst working for Sheffield Wildlife Trust, and has a background in music industry communications. Joe is a Media and Communications graduate from the University of London and an Environmental Conservation graduate from Nottingham Trent University. He is a keen birder.
