Please keep high resolution copies of your pictures (in case you win) for promotional and printing purposes. Professional photographers are not eligible to enter, and photos which have won other competitions will not be considered.
If your photograph features clearly identifiable people – you must obtain the permission of those people for the photograph to be used and tell them that the photograph may be used by Moors for the Future Partnership in connection with promotion of the competition, and may be seen by the public both online, in printed press, in an exhibition or other settings.
If you are taking images at an event attended by large crowds, such as a sports event this is regarded as a public area so you do not need to get the permission of everyone in a crowd shot, unless there are people in the foreground that are clearly identifiable (e.g. a race winner).
Prizes and judging
Short-listing will take place between 1st January 2018 and 31st January 2018. Judges will then select winning and runner up images from each category.
The winners will be contacted via e-mail. They will then be officially announced via the Moors for the Future website and through our social media channels.
The advertised panel of judges may change in the event of circumstances outside the control of Moors for the Future Partnership.
Judges may also consider other relevant criteria, in addition to that set out in the ‘Competition Rules’, when making a decision.
The judges' decision is final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into in respect of their decision.
The winners and runners up will receive prizes as described. Reasonable effort will be made to contact winners. However, prizes unclaimed within a reasonable time may be awarded to another entrant.
The prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash equivalent.
